Frequently Asked

Questions we hear every day.

We believe that an informed client makes the best decisions. Ask us anything — these are just a few of the most common.

Ask a Question Directly
What happens if I have a medical issue after I return home?

Your surgeon reviews all potential risks with you before surgery. If a complication arises after discharge, your TreVita care team is reachable and will coordinate with your local physician to guide resolution. You're never left to navigate this alone.

How do I know which procedure I need?

During your free consultation, you'll complete a medical questionnaire. Your surgeon reviews your health history, BMI, and goals, then recommends the procedure best suited to your specific case. There's no one-size-fits-all.

How much weight can I expect to lose and how quickly?

Results vary depending on the procedure and your individual physiology, but historically our clients see 50–70% of excess weight loss within the first 6 months, with continued progress through 12–18 months.

Will I have support after surgery when I'm back home?

Yes. After surgery, you keep direct access to your surgeon and their team. You also receive a 12-month TreVita wellness subscription including app support, a Bluetooth scale, and access to a nutritionist for ongoing guidance.

Is financing available and how does it work?

We offer flexible payment plans and partner with medical financing institutions to make your procedure accessible. Our team will walk you through the options during your consultation.

What is the minimum age for bariatric surgery?

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction of residence, to register for and use TreVita's bariatric services.
